Forever?

Forever isnt a tenure,
and people are often mistaken by this fact.

The period of realisation that something,
is too lengthy or unfathomable to process,
is just taken to be a ‘forever’

People put emotions into this play as if,
they’ll last forever.

But forever isn’t a tenure.

Leaves depart and fly away,
the ashes become darker,
the despair intensifies,
height is brought to dust.

that’s what forever is,
but it isn’t a tenure.

The audacity to put anything upto forever,
is mere wordplay with no words.

Everything lasts for an instance,
shorter than forever,
maybe just an inch, or maybe a decade.

But forever isn’t a tenure.

What is it then?
Does it recreate the purpose of hope?
Does it indulge in false motivation?
Because certainly ‘forever’ itself,
hasn’t lasted till infinity, yet.

Is it not appaling;
That our finite tenure;
can be seen as forever for someone else?

Does death limit this ‘forever’?
Or does it define it?

To realise this, however,
It will surely take forever.

Solidarity or Solitary?

on the 10th day, you do look back,  and you see traces of your steps following you on that same muddy trail, and you have returned to that place, you aren't shocked seeing them, thinking they are not yours, you see your footprint, carved in the mud, its of a shoe, and you are wearing flip-flops now. you look down at your feet, knowing you have fresh footprints you are about to leave ahead, which will not match the previous ones, and you think, anyone else who witnesses these two sets of footprints, if they get as far in the mud as yourself, will not know they are the same person's. you realise nobody will know, nobody will know of those 10 days, but you do not stop realising there,  you go further to think that nobody might even care to differentiate. where you stand now, you see you are not far from that cliff, which you had seen 10 days before,  you are exactly where you left your journey, you are exactly where you turned back. somehow this time, you aren't as prepared...

Most Weapons Made Are Never Used

Looking at the hue in the sky, observing the tranquility it has to offer, sometimes one can wonder, were the skies always so serene? has there always been existence, of opportunities that convey, simple leisure to whirl up our imagination, to see what figures we create out of nothing? or has the world been taut between endless wars, wars that don't allow much comfort, that we may look up and appreciate the variety of hues. a tendentious reading of history, has shown how wars have been recurrent, and how weapons were forged accordingly. what a writer's mind might wander into, is the inevitable process of thinking about the weapons that were forged. what you observe in the museums, and oftentimes, in contemporary news, is how lethal weapons are designed, but are barely used, and oftentimes never used up to their full potential. hoping to fathom what their true abilities might be, a weakening kick to the senses make us grave, because some of those might not see the daylight.  it t...

The French Man with The German Book

It often happens that we come across strange strangers in our lives. Some; we forget that very instance and some, we remember forever. And so it was for Steve as he was walking down in one of the alleys of Sicily one day. Steve had been from France but had shifted to Sicily after his service in the War. So as he was walking down the alley, he was abruptly approached by an old man. It seemed as if the old man was left with only one desire, and that was to offer Steve, a book. Steve wanted to know why he wanted to give him the book. But he didn't, as he figured that the old man couldn't speak. "So his hesitation was changed to a guarantee and an appreciation to the old man." ~⚡️ And hence, the old man continued walking as if they had never met. As an individual, would you forget such a stranger? Or be even more curious? I'll leave you all in that dilemma because that answer depends totally on yourself. Steve, on the other hand, didn't open the book till ...
