Looking at the hue in the sky,
observing the tranquility it has to offer,
sometimes one can wonder,
were the skies always so serene?
has there always been existence,
of opportunities that convey,
simple leisure to whirl up our imagination,
to see what figures we create out of nothing?
or has the world been taut between endless wars,
wars that don't allow much comfort,
that we may look up and appreciate the variety of hues.
a tendentious reading of history,
has shown how wars have been recurrent,
and how weapons were forged accordingly.
what a writer's mind might wander into,
is the inevitable process of thinking about the weapons that were forged.
what you observe in the museums, and oftentimes,
in contemporary news,
is how lethal weapons are designed,
but are barely used,
and oftentimes never used up to their full potential.
hoping to fathom what their true abilities might be,
a weakening kick to the senses make us grave,
because some of those might not see the daylight.
it then appears and comes in a trice realisation,
that most weapons made are never used,
they might be prepared to be without drawbacks,
and yet still, exist to create fear.
constructing diplomacy and achieving a bluff,
is what keeps the legacy of such weapons alive.
however, it isn't just the epic magnanimous wars from history,
for which weapons are created.
us mere humans, have our own weapons, carefully and delicately made.
they can be spoken words, they can be written, and at last, they can also be tangible.
therefore it dawns upon us that we 'abjure' most of the things that we know might hurt or destroy someone from within.
we withdraw spoken words to protect,
and in doing so, our weapons never see their full potential.
we've heard countless stories where people do not say what they're supposed to,
either to protect or to evade confrontation,
and now if you've understood so far,
every unspoken word is a weapon.
It can be a weapon - for you or against you.
That depends on how carefully and articulately you've designed your own weapon.
It's extremely fascinating how tangible weapons from epic wars,
have museums built for them,
but our weapons? the non tangible ones?
they aren't ever disclosed and hence are never seen.
The fact that there are museums which always have swords, shields, and other countless fatal weapons,
which sometimes are never used but just created,
allow us to see what once could've been used,
it gives us a view from God's eye and allows us to see what could've been if they were used.
it still remains a simultaneous relief and agitation,
to think about how some weapons made are never used.

ReplyDeleteThis is so TRUE for not only weapons but so many other things in life ,which are made, hoarded, accumulated ,but never used . Including amassing so much of money ,which cannot be put to good use in one's life time
ReplyDeleteBeautifully articulated !

Every unspoken word is a weapon - that is so true. Sometimes we lash out but more than often withhold words to avoid confrontation or dispute. Excellent! Keep it coming Shaon
